The Mic Macs and Chippewa's live in cabins. In each cabin 6-8 campers stay with 3 guides. The ratio to guides and campers are never less than 1:2. They are supervised by an area supervisor and a Mic-Chip Director. This makes sure that each camper is looked after well during activities and periods of rest. Crees, Ottawa's, and AAs stay in 30 wood and canvas tent platforms. Each unit houses 3 campers and one guide. An area supervisor is in charge of each tribe.
Food at summer camp is delicious. Boys on traditional summer camps or traditional overnight camps tend to eat a lot and Camps keep that in mind. The meals comprise of healthy and wholesome foods that take care of the calorie and nutritional requirement of kids after strenuous activities spread all over the day. If the Chefs at many of the summer camps attempt to make the traditional summer camps pleasurable experiences with delicacies, the Headmen delight famished campers with their open fire cooking.
